~You don't get out of homelessness alone.~

This is why I don't blog much anymore

PNN is one of the worst mistakes I've ever made. This is why I don't go there anymore: everyone there is sick. Today everyone there has felt the need to call us liars, beggars, and "conniving bitches". I'm sick of it. I'm sick of the whole blogging thing, actually. The people over there are really pathetic and plan to tell every agency we're "con artists." I really don't get what everyone's problem is. All I started this blog for was to tell people what we were going through. I am not a con artist, neither is my mom, if we really were multimillionaires don't you think we wouldn't be sleeping in our car for two months?

I don't know where people get their ideas, but just leave us alone already.

This is my last post here, anywhere, I really can't take it anymore.

OKAY SO

Pictures speak a thousand words, right? Well, here you go:

HOME!

This isn't the end of the story, if we're going to stay here after six months, my mom has to find a job. And contrary to what some people choose to believe, she IS looking and yes people, she wants to work. She always has. She's worked all her life. If you for some reason don't want to believe that, well, WAKE UP AND SMELL THE ECONOMY!!!! IT KIND OF SUCKS RIGHT NOW!!!! It's hard for EVERYONE to find a job!!! Just because things don't happen as fast as some people think they should, doesn't mean we're not trying. It doesn't mean she's only going to accept some high paying job...she would be perfectly fine with a cashiering job right now if someone was hiring!!! So please, quit pretending like we're not trying. Because we are, whether some people like it or not.

That being said, I'm happy we have a roof over our head, even if we won't feel completely safe or settled until there is the security of a job. There are no safe parking lots around here, and we really truly could not take anymore. We reached our breaking point. There is only so much hatred you can take. But here we are. Please pray God will let us stay here. I mean, we've got our own washer and dryer. And a yard. It's a studio cottage behind someone's house (and it's in California, we didn't move out of state.)

I love it. But please, please note this is not the end of the story. If we're really going to be okay, if we're really going to get back on our feet, my mom needs to find a job. And yes people, she is looking. Please pray that she finds something, please pray the economy improves, please pray for something good to happen!

Elsewhere

I think a while ago I got some emails from people in other states inviting us there, maybe offering to help us move there, I don't know, right now I have no idea where those emails would even be. If you're reading this, still interested, and are in one of these states, please do email me:

  • Colorado
  • Denver
  • Georgia
  • Hawaii
  • Maryland
  • Virginia
  • Washington DC
  • Ohio
  • Oregon
  • Washington minus the DC
Thanks! :P

Doesn't take a genius to figure this one out

People, think about what you're saying before you comment on a blog. Telling a homeless person they're an &*$W^&@ for blogging and that they need to get a life makes you look really stupid and pathetic. It brings up images of 45 year old pervs who still live with their moms and spend all day in their basement leaving crappy comments on all the blogs they read because they think they're all that. Now, who needs to get a life again...?

Come on, people. If you don't like something, no one's holding a gun to your head and forcing you to read it.

We're still looking for a place, we almost thought we found one it sounded really good and legit but when we replied it came back, and a search for the rental company turned up nothing. The person left no phone number in the email, so there was no way to get ahold of her. There aren't any privately owned places that we know of. As for jobs and temp agencies, we have tried that, they never called back. So we're just still looking.

Right now in addition to coming to the library to look up stuff we're waiting for the third Wednesday of next month because until then we have no way of getting anymore food or gas, right now we basically only have a box of cookies. Getting a bag from a church does not help, they give you things that you have to cook. Those bags are pakced with poor people who have homes in mind, not homeless people. Most programs around here even require you to have a home. If you could help out with something, that would be appreciated so much. I get it if you can't, but if you can, thank you. MasterCard or Visa gift cards work better because they are flexible and work in more places, so if we need to get both gas and food on one card, we can.

I looked up both Etsy and Artfire again, and I decided on Artfire because Etsy requires you to have a credit card, and pay listing and transaction fees (oh yes you do). So I'm going to look at it more and start thinking of what I could make to sell there.

blah blah and stuff

  • We checked out of the motel on Monday and are back in our car.
  • We're still searching for an apartment under $1000 that will rent to one who has a wrongful eviction. Please pray about this, I'm hoping we can find a place to call home soon, so we can concentrate on finding a job for my mom and just getting back to a normal life. That's all I want, a normal life. I can't believe that's so hard.
  • I'm really beginning to think about starting an Etsy or an Artfire shop. If you have one and are familiar with how it works, please let me know! I'm confused about selling fees and stuff. Especially with Artfire - I'm not sure if the basic account has selling/posting fees or not.
  • I really like the song Hopeless for some reason this week. Actually, all of Drastic Fantastic; when I first heard it I didn't like it too much, but now that I listen to songs on it again I really like them all. KT Tunstall is pretty much my favorite singer right now. She has been ever since I first heard Suddenly I See whenever Ugly Betty premiered.
  • Anyway.
  • Last night I actually finished reading two magazines, and this morning I finished one. Haha.
  • That's it for now.
